Langham Hospitality signs hotel in China Greater Bay Area

China: Operator Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has signed a management agreement with Parkland Group for a new-build property The Langham, Foshan, set to open in 2028.

The high-rise urban resort will include a hotel, luxury residential units, and commercial office spaces.

Amenities at The Langham, Foshan will include a Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court – a sister venue of the three Michelin-starred restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong. Afternoon tea will also be available.

Chuan Spa, LHG’s wellness brand, will provide treatments based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additional event spaces include an 800 square-metre ballroom.

“The Greater Bay Area is a key international powerhouse where Langham Hospitality Group enjoys a strong and growing presence with all of our brands represented. Introducing The Langham to the first-tier hub city of Foshan is an important strategic move for us in this context, and one that will set a new benchmark for luxury experiences,” said Bob van den Oord, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group.

The Langham, Foshan will join nine other properties in the Greater Bay Area under LHG either open or under development.

LHG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Eagle Holdings. It encompasses four brands including The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels, Eaton and Ying’nFlo, with more than 30 projects currently confirmed or in a developed stage of negotiation across Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
